Grand Rapids, MI - Foremost Insurance, Double Eagle sponsor of the U.S. Junior Amateur Championship at Egypt Valley Country Club, announced today a free clinic open to the first 100 junior golfers to sign up for the event.

“We look forward to seeing kids in West Michigan participate in this clinic and learn more about the sport from PGA pros,” says Jack Hannigan, Executive Vice President of Foremost Independent Agent Operations, “This clinic is going to be a great kick-off to the U.S. Junior Amateur Championship.”

The Junior Championship Clinic supported by Foremost will be held on Wednesday, July 14 at Egypt Valley Country Club from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Local PGA golf pros will lead the clinic which includes putting, short-game, full-swing exercises and experience on the championship course. The first 100 juniors to sign up online will be eligible to attend the event for free. Online sign-up opens Saturday, June 26 at 8:00 a.m. Eastern Time, for boys and girls, ages 9 to 17, with beginner, intermediate or advanced golf skills.

“We wanted to make the 2010 U.S. Junior Amateur Championship a Western Michigan Community effort with local Junior Golf the beneficiary of the proceeds. The Foremost Junior Championship Clinic fits right in with that strategy,” says John O'Donovan, Junior Championship Chairman.

Boys and girls ages 9 to 17 interested in attending can sign up online at Foremost.com or EgyptValley.com. Look for the Foremost Junior Championship Clinic banner on the homepage and fill out your information. The first 100 to sign up will receive notification via email with more details about the clinic.
